Privacy Policy
MachinesFluent is a Windows desktop dictation application published under the FasterOperations Microsoft Store publisher profile. It is not a cloud transcription service and it does not require a MachinesFluent account.
The privacy model is simple: we do not receive your dictation content. We do not collect, store, sell, or train on your microphone audio, system audio, transcripts, rewritten text, prompts, clipboard content, vocabulary, local transcription history, or saved audio/history during normal app use.
1. What we do not receive
We do not operate an app server that sits between you and your dictation workflow. Your audio, transcript text, prompt text, AI inputs and outputs, clipboard content, vocabulary, local history, and saved audio/history are not uploaded to us by normal use of the app.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use customer audio, transcripts, prompts, or text to train AI models.
2. Local and offline processing
When you use local or offline speech recognition, or local AI processing, the processing happens on your device. We cannot see, access, or recover what you dictated, transcribed, rewrote, prompted, or stored locally.
3. User-selected cloud providers
If you choose a cloud speech recognition provider or cloud AI provider, your device may send only the data needed for that request to the provider you selected, such as audio for speech recognition or text and prompts for AI processing.
We are not the intermediary for those provider requests, do not receive that request content, and do not get a copy of the provider's response. The selected provider's privacy policy and terms apply. Review them before enabling a cloud provider.
4. Local app data
Most MachinesFluent app data is stored locally on your device. This can include settings, prompt configuration, vocabulary, transcription history, and optional saved audio/history data, depending on your settings.
Local app data remains on your device unless you delete it, uninstall the app, send a request to a cloud provider you selected, or voluntarily submit a bug report.
5. Bug reports and diagnostics
We receive app diagnostics only when you click the button to submit a bug report. A bug report sends the issue description you typed, app version, platform, structured diagnostics, and optional diagnostic logs if logs are included.
Diagnostics may include operating system and runtime versions, backend variant, selected speech and AI provider/model names, audio device names, license status, app settings relevant to debugging, available audio-device metadata, and recent recording-attempt metadata such as chunk counts, audio levels, speech-like activity, and transcript length. This is troubleshooting metadata, not transcript text.
Diagnostic logs are intended for troubleshooting and are designed not to include dictated transcript content, AI request/response text, API keys, license keys, or clipboard content. Sensitive keys are redacted or masked where applicable. The issue description is submitted exactly as you type it, so do not put sensitive personal information in that description.
6. Licensing and payments
MachinesFluent may process license status and purchase-related information as needed to activate, validate, or support the app. Licensing and payment support data is separate from dictation content. Payments and related checkout information are handled by the payment provider, not directly by MachinesFluent.
7. Retention
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Bug reports, diagnostics, and optional diagnostic logs submitted to us may be retained as long as needed for troubleshooting, security, and product support.
